The entire complex is enclosed and equipped with a remote-controlled electric gate.
The holiday home is a stones throw from the centre of town and 200 m from the Riva Bianca beach. There are also spectacular views over Lake Como.
A wealth of shops, bars and restaurants are to be found close by.
The town of Varenna is only 5 km away and is well worth a visit, as well as the entire perimeter of the lake. The area is perfect for winter sports fans (St. Moritz is one hour away by car), and to visit Milan without the gridlock, just take the train (times and ticket prices available from: www.trenitalia.com). Thanks to public transport, Bellagio is also easily reached, as well as other lakeside areas, via car ferry or small boat (times and ticket prices available from: www.navigazionelaghi.it).
NB: Guests arriving after the fixed time may not be granted access to the house; unless arrangements have already been made with the owner, who may charge you for extra staff costs resulting from your late arrival. (Usually Euro 50, to be paid on the spot).

A small distance from the house is the restaurant "Il Crotto" where local specialties are still being prepared according to the old recipes (Handmade pasta, deserts etc.): recommended!
Famous actors like George Clooney for example often stays along the Como Lake, he bought 2 villas there; therefore take the chance to come across such famous celebrities in restaurants or other locations.
