The monumental village Orvelte with its typical Saxony farms and the Radio Astronomy Centre with no less than twelve giant radio telescopes in the forestry range of Hooghalen are also well worth a visit. In the nearby village of Tiendeveen you will find the Golf Club Martensplek. An 18 holes golf range, which is a true challenge for any beginners and experienced players with its dazzling water features. Hoogeveen is 5 km away, a city where you will find everything. Drenthe of course offers more than enough excursion opportunities; the largest natural domain 'Goudsplevier', the museum village Orvelte, the fun park Oranje, etc.
