The medieval Ferentillo city is also well known as one of the most important ROCK CLIMBING RESORTS in Italy. The house is only 8 minutes far and is a perfect base to enjoy the great rocks in Ferentillo.

La Casa del Borgo is a high quality and full restored ancient stone house ideal for couples, groups or families wich are looking for a relaxing and natural-style holiday.
The house is very comfortable and welcoming: it retains the original atmosphere of a country farm house with its large sized rooms, a large living/dining room with an ancient and big fireplace .This carefully furnished room or "taverna" ( with comfortable hand made chairs and sofa bed, a table for 12 and a collection of Italian country antiques and decorations that are pure Umbrian) is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner and a coffee in the morning. On the first floor there are 3 large sized bedrooms with its ancient and hand painted comfortably iron beds, charming antiques and the warmth of an unforgettable atmosphere. The house is located in a very small rural and typical umbrian village composed by only 10 properties!! It means a true peaceful and green place that is also the essence of the tranquility: quiet hillsides look on, mountains in the background, a pasture of sheep in the distance, an occasional car or a tractor is heard. But mostly the sound that reaches this hilltop is the soft wind, the farmers at their work, and the birds, especially in the morning. The life in the small village is like a return to a past from the remote origins: a place where you can feel one with nature and experience a true breath of fresh tranquility borne with ancient umbrian traditions. Rolling hills, woodlands, cultivated fields and olive groves are all around it and make this place something very special!

Thanks to its strategic position, you can visit all the most important historical-artistic places of Umbria in less than 1 h. by car. Spoleto is only 15 minutes far and the great Valnerina area is just 10 minutes! From here, you can also have daily trips to other regions such as Le Marche, Abruzzo, Tuscany and Lazio driving for less than 2 hours...In fact, Umbria is considered the green heart of Italy! Rome is only 1 hour far and Florence is only 2 hours from the house. A car is strongly recommended.
Markets and restaurants are only 2 kms far from the rental.
