In the past, sheep wool was spun there, today you can enjoy a well-earned holiday there: Belvès. This textile mill, dating from the early 19th century, is a vast, comfortable house with satellite TV, a welcoming dining room with a huge Persian carpet on the floor and a fireplace, and also of course a private swimming pool.

Its location is extraordinary, on the edge of the fortified town at the height of Belvès with a magnificent view of the roofs of Belvès, the valley and the surrounding hills. You will find yourself less than one hundred metres from the historical heart of this town. In the square, you will find the secular covered halls, where the weekly market is organised. Admire the monumental facades of the church and bell tower and install yourself on one of the terraces. Do you prefer to do something more active? In Siorac-en-Périgord (7km) you can hire canoes to explore the Dordogne river.
Also do not miss the Eyzies caves (23km) and Bergerac (52km). This last place is famous for Cyrano de Bergerac, star of the eponymous play. There are several museums to visit.
